"I spent 6 months as a Fulbright Senior Scholar in 2018 in Sri Lanka, at the University of Peradeniya and the Sirimavo Children's Hospital. The experience was fantastic. I did the usual lectures, helped run hospital rounds, mentored some clinical research projects, and in the process, I broadened my own approach to academics. I now have an international team of collaborators, and I'm more aware of public health issues in my clinics and teaching. And, whenever there's a full moon, I think it should be a national holiday!"
